WOLVES

WOLVES by Steve Yockey. Quince Productions. 2016

Wolves is a deconstruction of the Little Red Riding Hood story. Ben believes there are wolves outside his apartment. His ex-boyfriend, however, does not. Throughout the course of the play, Ben delivers these haunting monologues that take us inside his mind. In crafting the soundscape of the play, I wanted the audience to feel just as paranoid and overwhelmed as Ben. Each of his monologues contained a series of tones and haunting sounds that would escalate as they play went on.
