Damien Figueras is a Philadelphia based composer, music director, and sound designer. He is a two-time Barrymore Award nominee (for his work on Moth at Azuka Theatre and for Antihero at Tribe of Fools). He is currently the Director of Production at the Philly Improv Theatre. Damien is a proud member of the Theatrical Sound Designer and Composer Association (TSDCA).

As a composer and music director, Damien's work focuses on ensemble-based music creation. In the 2016-2017 season, he had the privilege of working with University of the Arts to create several devised musicals, one of which was a fully staged adaptation of A.A. Milne's "Now We Are Six" and "When We Were Very Young." Outside of University of the Arts, Damien is an adjunct faculty member at Arcadia University where he is the Resident Sound Designer.

In addition to his regional and educational work, Damien is a founding member of Apartment 20, an ensemble theatre collective committed to new work that emphasizes personal narrative, musicality, and the formation of community that bridges the gap between performers and audience. One of their recent projects, [Coven] received a workshop in early December 2017 and is currently still in the early stages of development. [coven] is an exploration of the end of the world, as told through the stories of the granddaughters of the witches they weren't able to burn. The piece is inspired by the "witches" in our lives. Whether it be your mother or a pop culture icon, [coven] explores how the descendants of those women find the power in themselves and each other to use verse to build a home, a place where nothing is left. [coven] is a stage adaptation of an epic poem commissioned for the project.
