OLEANNA
OLEANNA by David Mamet. Walnut Street Theatre. 2019
For this production, I had the privilege of composing a fully original score. For this production, the director and I wanted to be careful that sound didn’t influence the audience’s opinion about the events of the play. By using woodwind instruments, we were able to create a score in which the melody was never certain and the competing instruments could flow in and out of sync with each other very easily, much like the characters in Mamet’s play.
