THE Ok trenton project

OK Trenton Project by David Lee White, Richard Bradford and the ensemble. Passage Theatre. 2022

Based on a true story and composed of verbatim interviews from those directly involved, The OK Trenton Project is an experience that explores the role art plays in our community and the consequences we face when it’s taken away.
For this production, I designed both Sound and Projections. The entire back wall of the set became a projection surface that was used, mostly, to convey the viewpoint of the Media throughout the story. As actors become a whole host of characters in the midst of interviews, the projections gave us a chance to see the way the story was warped and shaped by the media. We displayed headlines, Facebook comments, text messages, as well as a mix of realistic locations and more abstract and emotional content.
